Vallformosa has accumulated 8 gold medals in the Berliner Trophy 2023
The Berliner Wine Trophy has become the world's largest wine competition and Germany's most important international wine challenge. Each year, it brings together renowned producers and distributors from around the world, and the number of samples sent in is constantly growing, with over 14,000 entries per year (according to the past winter and summer editions).
The wines have been tasted by an independent panel of experts, consisting of oenologists, sommeliers, wine masters, journalists, experienced traders, as well as viticulturists from all regions of the country. Participating producers have been rated according to OIV and UIOE standards and guidelines, using the 100-point scoring system (blind tasting).
Vallformosa has won 8 gold medals at the Berlin Wine Trophy
Quality is the most important element valued in this competition, and the Berliner Wine Trophy was the first to introduce, among other things, enological analysis of the award-winning wines and notarial supervision. Unlike other wine competitions, only 30% of the tasted products can be awarded (according to OIV rules). That means only the best products have the honor of receiving a medal from the Berliner Wine Trophy.
This is a new international recognition and a great boost for the Vallformosa project, which is part of Vallformosa on tour, that has led the winery to participate in the most recognized national and international wine and sparkling wine events.
Participating in ProWein 2023, as well as achieving new awards at the Berliner Trophy 2023, is a new recognition and a great boost for the Vallformosa project based on quality, sustainability, and traceability, as well as for expanding the brand's commercial opportunities at an international level.
