Vinissimus best online wine store in Spain

Last December, the International Challenge Merchant Awards Spain 2022 gala was held, an event that brings together the most prestigious wineries in the country, in which Vinissimus received the award for the best online store in Spain.

The event, which this year reached its 7th edition, took place at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid and brought together nearly 250 guests linked to the world of wine and gastronomy. Among them were the main protagonists of the world of wine at a national and international level, Masters of Wine, the best sommeliers in Spain, specialized press in the sector, and managers of the main Spanish wineries and groups.

During the gala dinner, a total of 25 prizes were awarded to different professionals in the sector and it was a whole day dedicated to the world of wine and oenology, beginning with the IWC TALKS and the Tasting Room.

Additionally, 2 special prizes were awarded to Personality of the Year and Toda una vida 2022, in addition, the winners of the 18 categories were announced, among which was Vinissimus, who received the award for Best Online Store. Prizes were also awarded for Best Sommelier, Best Wine Tourism Experience, Best Specialized Wine Shop or Best Wine Guide.

The jury in charge of awarding these awards has been chaired by Pedro Ballesteros MW, and made up of other personalities from the world of wine such as Ferrán Centelles (former sommelier of El Bulli and critic for Spain of Jancis Robinson), José Luis Benítez (General Director of the Spanish Wine Federation-FEV) or Patricia Mateo (Director of the International Wine Challenge Merchant Awards Spain), among many other professionals in the sector.

An award that meets the most demanding industry standards

The IWC Merchant Awards Spain are a show of support for the sector, they recognize and reward all those professionals in the country who are part of the path that brings wine closer to the final public. It is an international event that has more than three decades of history in the United Kingdom and today has achieved prestige among producers and professionals around the world.

We are very happy and proud that one of the initiatives in which we participate has achieved this award and it only confirms and strengthens Vinissimus' leadership in the specialized wine market.
